Chronological Order Syndrome

I've developed this disease and obsession to watch sitcoms and series since 2005. What happens is as follows... as soon as I find my self enjoying an episode of sitcom or series I HAVE to stop watching immediately and begin watching the show from the pilot episode. For the past 4 years i've done this for over 25 shows and today I have ran out of "good" shows to watch. So I decided to start with what? Movies! You might ask, "how will you implement your infamous syndrome for movies?" Well, some of you are already thinking it. Yes I start from movies that were released as far as a century ago. Today I've reached the 60's but had to cheat a little and put aside some movies in the 40's and 50's which I plan to watch later on the new Sony Bravia 52" LCD my folks decided to buy when they sent us off to uni. They also decided to upgrade the living room coaches to leather! Something they were against when me and my brother were infesting the house before we were sent off. Also a cute little bean bag sits in the middle of the living room. Yes, my parents who've been around for almost 7 decades have decided that the main room - a place where they socialise with friends who once borrowed a cup of sugar from Trex- needs a bean bag.

Anyway, back to topic. I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed silent era movies. Specially some of Chaplins work. I never really knew how faboulous that man was until a few months ago. A few movies I would recommend for Charles Chaplin are:-
  • Modern Times
  • Gold Rush
  • One AM
  • City Lights
  • A Dogs Life
  • The Kid

Anywho, I will be posting another list of all the series, sitcoms, and movies (so far) that I would highly recommend anyone to watch.

  2. Hey Kelsie! you should! start off with Gold Rush for Chaplin. You gotta start off with something strong and that movie is great from beginning to end!
